AHS artists take home Gold in spite of COVID-19

Arlington High School artists recently brought home a total of 23 awards at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, including The American Visions Award, 1st Place in the Middle Division, The Middle Division Painting Award, six Gold Keys, eight Silver Keys and nine Honorable Mentions.  Madelyn Wicker was also awarded the Arkansas State University Portfolio Scholarship.

In addition to their art being displayed at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, student winners were also given yard signs to proudly display their achievements.

AHS Scholastic Award Recipients:

  • Conner Hall- 1st Place in the Middle Division, The Middle Division Painting Award, 2 Gold Keys, 1 Silver Key, and 1 Honorable Mention
  • Riley Barber- The American Visions Award, 2 Gold Keys, 1 Silver Key and 2 Honorable Mentions
